Wall Mount Tips
|
FOR WALL MOUNTING IN PLASTERBOARD (DRYWALL, WALLBOARD, SHEETROCK).
We recommend using either metal (zinc) or plastic E-Z Anchors.
These anchors have Phillips head openings and are self tapping, so pre-drilling is not necessary.
The thin "blades" on the anchors act like the threads of a screw.
These anchors can be removed easily with minimum wall damage.

Small E-Z Anchor
Requires #6 Screw

Large E-Z Anchor
Requires #8 Screw
|
#8 screws are provided with all Shelf Expressions wall mount products, therefore we recommend the large anchors.

Phillips head anchor for fast installation
(and removal)

|
Position the pre-drilled wall mount panel on the wall where desired. You no longer have to wall mount your shelving only where wall studs are located.
Mark the wall with a small nail.

|
|
Gently tap the nail where marked. If the nail penetrates the wallboard without resistance, you will need to use an anchor.
If the nail meets resistance, you have probably found a stud. Use the drywall screw provided, without an anchor.

|
At a slow speed, insert the anchor.
Insure that the anchor head is flush with the wall so that the wall mounted support panel will be firmly positioned against the wall.

|
Following the above steps does not necessarily guarantee that your wall mounted shelving will be properly and securely wall-mounted.
It is the responsibility of the installer to insure that the shelving is adequately wall mounted.
