Creative Ideas

HERE IS A CREATIVE IDEA TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR SHELVING MODULES

Use wallpaper on the shelf inserts to present a theme, match a wall, tie in a color scheme, etc.

Wallpaper ends are very inexpensive and your choices are almost unlimited.

Shelf liner material will also work.

Use a spray adhesive, not wallpaper paste.  The paste may warp the insert.

Trim the excess material with a razor knife.

This process is quick, easy, and will yield fantastic results.

We have also had customers use the insert as a template for sizing mirrors, glass, or opaque plastic.

Some have also used fabric material to cover the insert.

You can cover both sides of the shelf inserts with different patterns of wallpaper.
This allows a quick change to the entire look of your shelving by simply flipping over the inserts.
For tradeshows, this is a quick and creative way to change the look of your tradeshow booth.

Our shelves are all slatted panels with shelf inserts included.  Because of the shelf frame (the molding around the shelf), there is a lip around the edge of the shelf when the shelf insert is in place.  This prevents any items on the shelf from slipping off the edge.  The lip around the shelf area is most often viewed as a benefit.

However, you may prefer a flush shelf that is flat, without any lip.  We suggest you cut out cardboard pieces just larger than the size of the insert.  Use spray adhesive to attach the cardboard cutouts to the bottom of the insert.  Trim the excess material with a razor knife (as described above).  If necessary you can layer the cardboard cutouts until you have a level shelf without any lip.

This process is quick and inexpensive, and gives you a lightweight, flush shelf insert.  The cardboard will not show.
